In this story the woman remembers the many hardships and a few good times as she sits up all night with only a dog to help protect her and her children from a deadly snake.

The humorous story of three mates and their friendly dog, Tommy, who retrieves a loaded cartridge thrown by one of the three men .
Tommy thinks it is a game of ‘fetch’ and enjoys the tantalising fear of the men who expect the cartridge to explode any moment.

AUSTRALIA DAY CELEBRATIONS
Australia Day is the official National Day we celebrate on the 26th January which marks the landing of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove by Captain Arthur Phillip. Don has assembled some beautiful Australian Poetry for your enjoyment of this celebration of the founding of our Nation.
